A key panel of European Union trade officials has voted to reject a European Commission proposal to extend dumping duties on shoes from China.
During the voting, 15 member states opposed the plan, 10 supported the Commission, and two countries abstained. In October last year, the Commission extended duties of up to 16.5 percent on imports of Chinese leather shoes. The panel concluded that the duties were hurting European consumers by forcing them to pay higher prices.
The EU's executive Commission still intends to put the proposal to a vote of ministers next month despite the defeat in the anti-dumping committee.

The summer holiday after I graduated from senior high school,I went to Beijing by myself.It was my first trip to Beijing ,even the first time for me to go out of my province.
My parents were a little worried though my sister had persuaded them .She said that it was a good opportunity for me to be independent and I was so excited to going to the Capital of my country.My parents approved at last.

The English Corner
Every Wednesday evening,our company holds an English Corner with a Canadian teaching us English.Last Wednesday is my first time to go there.
There were seven or eight girls while there were only two boys with the teacher included,the other was Jake.He seemed like the leader of our students.Most of them were working in the market department and majored in English except me.
The teacher looked so handsome and talkative that maked me not be ashamed for the first time coming there.We talked about the weather,the festivals,and the differences between Canada and Japan or China.
I like the atmosphere there so I promised to go there next Wednesday.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called Double Fifth Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth moon of the lunar calendar. It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year。
The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man, but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfavor in the emperor's court。
Unable to regain the respect of the emperor, in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan, the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons。

In September, I was examined for my working
in the company and my monthly wage was increased by 100￥ while 300%￥ was added for my friends.
I was not so sad for that difference because

My eyes are too painful to be faceed with computer now .I am extremely aware of the reason since it is usually like this when I had cried the day before.I have not known the effective way to avoid this appearance.Only that I can do is stopping myself from crying expecially in the evening.

China opposes sale of looted cultural relics: diplomat
UNITED NATIONS, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- A senior Chinese diplomat said here on Monday that China insists on its right to seek the return of cultural relics that have been illegally taken abroad and opposes auctions of these cultural relics, including treasures from the famous Yuan Ming Yuan Summer Palace.
Liu Zhenmin, deputy permanent representative of the Chinese Mission to the UN, made the statement at a plenary meeting of the 64th session of the General Assembly on the item of "Return or Restitution of Cultural Property to the Countries of Origin."
Liu said that for a long period beginning in mid-19th century, the western powers, in a succession of wars of aggression against China, had plundered and looted countless Chinese cultural relics, including numerous cultural treasures from Yuan Ming Yuan, the imperial garden looted and burned down during an invasion of Beijing by the British and French forces in 1860.
"These cultural relics should be returned to China," he said. "We believe that such auctions run counter to the underlying spirit of relevant international treaties and UN resolutions, and are serious infringements of China's cultural rights and interests."
As symbols of identity of a nation or a people, cultural property represents a valuable asset of human civilization, Liu said, adding that illicit appropriation of and trafficking in cultural property is a sacrilege to history and civilization.
"While enjoying broad consensus of the international community, protecting cultural heritage and promoting the restitution of cultural property to the countries of origin are inalienable and fundamental cultural rights of the people of countries of origin, as well as cultural responsibilities incumbent on all governments," the ambassador said.
He advocated strengthening international cooperation as an effective way to prevent and combat trafficking in cultural property.
Liu said that states should comply with international legal frameworks and principles, carry out active cooperation with competent UN bodies and international organizations to combat smuggling and trafficking in cultural property, and enhance cooperation in promoting the return of cultural property.
China attached great importance to the protection of cultural heritage by putting in place a legal and regulatory system with the "Cultural Relics Protection Law" as the pivot, the ambassador noted.
It has signed with many countries bilateral agreements on the prevention of illicit appropriation, excavation, and entry and exit of cultural objects, and has successfully sought and retrieved such objects illegally transported overseas.
"China will continue to actively participate in UNESCO's activities in promoting the return of cultural property to its countries of origin, and seek appropriate solutions in this regard," Liu said.

My sister said that she was planning to buy a house in Beijing next year .Then she would invite my parents and me there to celebrate the New Year.

I hate rainy days,but I love my parents.
It is so cold today,raining and blowing.As it is Sunday today,I can sleep on the bed,working and enjoying myself there all the day.But if I have to go to company in this rainy day,it would be terrible.
I am really not so afraid of cold days because I`m not lack of warm clothes.However,rainy days is absolutely disgusting thing.Maybe living in the northern city with less rainy days is a happy choice for me.But it`s just a dream for me since I should look after my parents in the southern and wetting city who would never think to leave their hometown to live in northern city with my sister.

Gather in Bin Jiang
Today we six gathered to head for Bing Jiang just for having hot pot there.It took us there hours to assemble all of us and reach the destination.I was so exciting for it was my first time to the place even the weather was so cold.Lao Wu wore four clothes while Cao wore only one .However cold I did`t ask him to give his garment to me.
In the restaurant,we ate so large amount of food that I was too full to eat more.It was a fault for me to not taking the chewing gum behind which was the most useful way for me to digest.
All the evening,we enjoyed a very good time drinking,eating,talking about our jobs and looking forward our bright future! I will keep this time in mind, I`ll remember you forever!

Group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and in life. Fat Fat Fat
Last weekend I went back home fetching the pant to school which was bought three years ago with my dear mother.I hadn`t worn it since junior .After one year,when I wore the pant,it was suddenly frighened me that my waist was a little tight.I remembered that this waist of the pant was a little loose before.It was proved that I have been fatter and fatter.
I should admit it .I should accept it.I should take measures to keep in shape !

Just one and a half year ago,the day called national horn day in China,my dear mother had an accident,bumped a truck and had been in a coma for almost two months since 5.19.
Our families were all of our minds to took care of my mother because she once was a so kind and hardworking woman in my family.we are all in hornor of her.My older sister planed a strategy in the tent for she is the most politic person in our family contacting the best doctor from Beijing and Hangzhou.I and my father accompanied my mother in the evening in turn.My uncle`s families prepared dinner for us while my three aunts took turns to come to the hospital to care for my mother and us.
After six months,my mother was released from the hospital.Thank godness,thank all my families.I`ll never forget your help even though I was hardly said something like this.But I remeber everthing in my hart.

But I din`t hope to see my mother being disappointed,so I decided to buy a pair of shoes for instead.
It`s happy to see my mother`s childlike smiling.When I`am a child ,she spared no effort to look after me.Now it`s time for me to return.
